MERI SPORTS CLUB

Top GGS IPU College MERI for BBA, BA(JMC), MCA, MCA (Lateral Entry) and MBA organizes different sports event every year inside or outside the campus like Cricket Tournament, Football Tournament, Inter College Table Tennis Tournament, Inter College Chess Competition, Carom, Pool Tournament and Inter College Arm Wrestling Competition.

Annual Inter College Sports Meet 2020 03^rd-04^thFeb, 2020

Two days Annual Inter College Sports Meet 2020 was successfully organized by MERI CET, Sampla on 03rd-04th February, 2020. Approximately 300 students of different courses and semesters participated in the sports meet from the following colleges:-

1) Management Education Research Institute (MERI College), Janakpuri, New Delhi

2) Management Education Research Institute College of Engineering and Technology (MERI CET), Sampla

3) Management Education Research Institute Professional and Law Institute (MERI PLI), Sampla

3^rd February, 2020(Monday)

Inaugural Session

Mr. Vaneet Kumar, Chief Manager, Tata Global Beverages Pvt. Ltd, Sampla invited as the Chief Guest the Opening Ceremony of Inter College Sports Meet 2019-2020. The function started by lightning of the torch followed by the march past by the participating institutions. An oath for fair was taken by all participants under the guidance of Dr. Sumit Chauhan, Associate Professor & Sport Coordinator, MERI, Janakpuri, New Delhi. After the March Past, our Hon’ble Vice President (Prof.) Lalit Aggarwal welcomed the chief guest, Mr. Vaneet Kumar, Chief Manager, Tata Global Beverages Pvt. Ltd, Sampla. Hon’ble Chief Guest addressed the students about the importance of sports in education and life. Then after, our Hon’ble Vice President declared the opening of the sports meet by 100 mtr race.
After the inauguration and the March Past session, Pre-Matches of all events started in respective courts.

4^th February, 2020 (Tuesday)

All the events were eye catching and great effort was from students for their respective teams. A good sportsmanship was found between all participants of all the teams. The weather was very cheerful and sunny. Students showed their spirit of coordination, cooperation and discipline during the event.
